Telematics in an airport environment play a vital role in gathering information.

In these settings the technology works from the vast array of connected environmental sensors as well as data from staff to produce a large body of essential information. This makes possible the control of security access, using a combination of two-way communications and telematics systems together, triggering barrier openings without the need for a permanent staff member. It’s also a huge part of diverse other systems such as fuel level control, fire alerting system and monitoring and control of terminal equipment such as air-conditioning units or backup generators.

Paging systems, although an older technology, are well established and often in use where legacy systems are already in place to work with. Paging provides a simple connectivity where nothing other than a simple short message is required. It is also possible to connect paging to other communications where necessary.

CommSystems have the experience to integrate and maintain both Telematics and Paging systems. Our supply partner Salcom provide products and support for both technologies. CommSystems also supply other supporting technology such as wireless links and two-way radio.
